Maybe I missed somthing, but I just re-read the first page, and there's nothing there about reference images. Could you please clarify?

Can the picture be a free handed drawing of an already existing one? Original pieces of ANet or other peoples art. May be used for inspiration only. I'm looking for unique pieces of art, not a sketched copy.

I dont know all of Anet's official artwork to say Nith's is just a copy though, since it does resemble the typical balthazar pose found on his murals and statue.

Eheh, well that too maybe, but my conenction really sux so it accidently posted same message 3 times -.-!

And if nith47s drawing is not original becouse balthazar is in the same pose as the statues,if thats what you mean, then i guess mine (which im working on,ok will be working on ) is not original too couse he aswell stands with longsword in his hands...
...but i must remind you longsword is essencial for balthazar as manual says...tradition

No there is nothing wrong with your piece. Continue as you've been doing. While using a point of reference you have made something unique. Your entry is perfectly valid.

gah, thats no good, shouldn't worry about beating anyone, just do it for fun and to show off how you picture grenth (or any other of the gods)

i really enjoy seeing all the guild wars fan art that people do, i love that people care enough to devote such time and effort to art that we all as a community can appreciate
